The capital’s one and only mountainbike marathon race takes place on 1 May, on the glider airport at the feet of Hármashatárhegy.
It is unmatched in Europe that, nearly a 1000 competitors rush through the airfield starting from a straight line.
The spectators can enjoy the view of the “river of bikers” for more than a km.
Buda Marathon is traditionally the season opener of mountain bike events.
With many exhibitions, joining events, extreme bike shown, children’s competitions and over 3000 participants, Buda Marathon provides a genuine summering feel.
The course drives all along the beautiful Hármashatárhegy.
The course is a real challange, even for professional riders.
